2]WRITING/REFERENCING

Referencing is where we provide a book or an article in our assignment with citations of authorities.

      Cite sources
-use the actual quotation the way it appear.dont change it.respect their work.

Make it clear who said what
 -if you're giving an idea to someone else please credit where you take the idea ,the link article anything.make it clear.

 Know how to paraphrase
-you are allowed to refer someone else work and paraphrase it into your own but dont change the meaning .

 Evaluate your sources
-write detail about who wrote it,where you get,and credit them.

Include a reference page
- You should include a reference page of your works at the end of your paper. Check the guideline for citing sources properly.

]HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR GRADE POINT?

1]you must know GPA grade/calculation

2]you must know the  formula of culmulative point average[CGPA]is;

CGPA = The total credit values registered and attempted in the assessment of all semester
                                       The total credit units acquired in all semester

EXAMPLE ON HOW TO CALCULATE IT

GPA WORKSHEET

ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENT

1. Calculate the GPA for Amelia Ameer for her first semester:

Course and Grade (1st Semester)

Course Point Average

Comparative Animal Physiology: 3 credits, earned grade of B+

3.33x3 = 9.99

Biochemistry I: 4 credits, earned grade of C-

1.67x4= 6.68

Integrated Physiology Lab: 1 credit, earned grade of A

4.0

Asian Civilization I: 3 credits, earned grade of C-

1.67x3= 5.01

Ecology: 3 credits, earned grade of A

4.0x3=12

Korean I: 3 credits, earned grade of B

3.0x3=9

Total Number of Credits =

17

Total Points Earned =

46.68

GPA =

46.68 / 17 = 2.75

2. Calculate what would have happened if Amelia had earned a B in Chemistry.

 3.0 x 4 = 12     ii. 46.68 - 6.68 + 12 = 52    iii. 52/17 = 3.06 (amelia’s new gpa)

3. What is the difference in GPA?

  The gpa is increase from 2.75 to 3.06

4. Now calculate Amelia GPA for the next semester:

Course and Grade (2nd Semester)

Course Point Average

Cell Biology: 4 credits, earned grade of B+

3.33x4 = 13.32

Organic Chemistry I: 4 credits, earned grade of B

3.0x4= 12

Intro Physics I: 4 credits, earned grade of C

2.0x4=8

Writing in Biology: 3 credits, earned grade of C

2.0x3= 6

Public Speaking: 3 credits, earned grade of A-

3.67x3=11.01

Total Number of Credits =

18

Total Points Earned =

50.33

GPA =

50.33 / 18 = 2.8

5. What would happen if Amelia had received a D in Cell Bio instead of the B+?

1.0 x 4 = 4     50.33 - 13.32 + 4 = 41.01     41.01 / 18= 2.29   amelia’s new gpa = 2.29

6. What is the difference in GPA?

The gpa is decrease from 2.8 to 2.29

7. What is the difference in CGPA?

 Amelia Just pass

8. What does Amelia have to do in order to achieve a GPA of 3.00 in the 2nd semester if her CGPA falls below 2.50 in the 1st semester

Amelia need to score at least B in every subject to achieve cgpa 3.00
