WHAT IS NOTE TAKING?

-note taking is the practice of writing down or otherwise recording key points of information

WHY I SHOULD TAKE NOTE?

it helps us to;

1]US TO PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS

-when our hand is working .this mean our brain is focusing on something.with that,all our sense will focus.

2]US TO QUICKLY STUDY FOR QUIZ OR TEST GIVEN BY LECTTURER

-when we have note it will be easier for us to face every exam..we can just simply refer to note .for test we need something quick so the note we are taking is the answer.

3]US TO IMPROVE OUR MEMORY

-within taking the note it will improve our memory and will stick tou our memory for long term learning.

4]US TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF IDEAS

-when we understand the note that we taking,that make us get better understanding about that topic.so auctomatically we will master that topic.

5]US TO ENGAGE OUR SENSES

-with payiing attention,it will make our sense functioning better.

6]US TO ORGANIZE AND PROCESS DATA AND INFORMATION

-we can decorate our own note and organizenote with our style!so we will more understand about our own note. 

7]LECTURER TO TEST STUDENT ON HOW WELL STUDENTS CAPTURED GIVEN INFORMATION

-in class he lecturer tend to ask some question and will random pick sudent to answer question.if we are that lucky person that will chosen at least we have our quick note that we jot down just now.

HOW  TO TAKE LECTURE NOTES?

 

PREPARE BEFORE TAKING NOTES

 The best way to prepare your note-taking activity is to READ the text assignment BEFORE CLASS. 

with how you can do that?

so

firstly,read the title and chapter objectives

-this seem not functioning at all.but with knowing the title and objective will make you more understand what chapter want.

secondly,Read the chapter summary

--if you are in hurry u can just read the summary.it will help you to process what will you learn in this topic.

thirdly,reading subheadings and viewing the content under those subheadings

-with better information about some subject even a little thing will make you focus and more effective in learning

forthly,Acknowledge vocabulary and terms

-if the topic you will learn have so many bew term you dont know it will make you in worst condition.example,my course which is account subject have so many term that new for me,and if i dont master abou that term i will not catch up all my topic.

BECOME AND ACTIVE LISTENER

-you need to response all your lecturer question so that you will more focus.you can sit at in front line if you want to got up your mood.

-listen for main point and related details and take note.

-control your emotiinal response.

HOW DO WE TAKE NOTE?

1]WRITE THE DATE AND LABEL THE NOTES

-it can make student easy to make revision.

2]GIVE SOME SPACE TO WRITE MORE INFORMATION

-if you have added information you can add at leftover space 

3]USE SHORT FORM AND SYMBOL

-it is your note so you can do anything with that.because that note you will use just for your learning.such as

4]USE AN OUTLINE YOUR MAIN IDEAS ,SUPPORTS,AND EXAMPLE

-if you write the note you can create your own idea,support and example as long related to your topic.

5]USE YOUR OWN LANGUAGE

-you can use any language that you comfortable with.such as you comfortable taking note in france language .so go for it.

3]REVIEW THE SYLIBUS AND PREVIOUS NOTES 

- I CAN RELATE WITH WHAT I WILL LEARN IN MY NEW TOPIC.

4]HIGHLIGHT THE KEYWORD

-WITH COLOURFUL BOLD IN YOUR WORD WILL MAKE YOU SPIRIT GOTTEN UP.

5]PLAN LISTENING 80% OF TIME IN CLASS

-BETTER 80% THAN NOTHING AT LEAST I GAIN SOMETHING.
