WHAT IS UED?

This course prepares students with learning skills essential for varsity life. It exposes students to basic academic skills; e.g. effective time management, setting goals, learning styles, learning strategies, and processing information from lectures and texts, which would help students cope with academic demands at the tertiary level.

                                                       

 2-E PORTFOLIO

B. Study Skills e-Portfolio (80%) – [Individual Work] The purpose of the Study Skills e-Portfolio is to introduce the students to the concept of documenting the processes in identifying learning strategies that they utilized throughout the semester. It is anticipated that students will benefit from this task as they determine systematically the learning strategies that fit their learning style and personality, which in turn will enable them to observe the impact of these strategies to their learning process. Furthermore, the portfolio may be used as a reference for the students as they progress in their academic studies. To develop a Study Skills e-Portfolio, students are required to prepare documents that demonstrate their individual study skills and strategies that they have utilized throughout the semester. The documents are related to the chapters/subtopics within the syllabus.

3-REFLACTIVE VIDEO

 The purpose of the assignment is to provide students with the platform to document their experience of enrolling in the online Study Skills course. Duration: Week 1 – briefing & Week 4 - submission Prepare a creative video presentation of about 5 to 7 minutes sharing your experience of enrolling in the online Study Skills course (highlight new things that you have learned and obstacles that you have to overcome). Use your creativity to make your presentation as interesting as possible. The video needs to be uploaded onto an online platform which will be identified by your respective lecturer. Note: The total marks (see Reflective Video Rubric) have to be converted to 20%.
